Key Features
Spend your time on important research rather than designing an optical system for your SLM. The SLM Optics Kit provides you with a set of optics and cage-mount components enabling the user to start research with the SLM system immediately.
The kit includes a Meadowlark Precision Half-Wave Retarder, a pair of Meadowlark Precision Linear Polarizers, lenses, and all necessary mount hardware, including a custom adapter plate to quickly align the SLM system to the optics in an off-axis configuration. Optional items are also available including a laser, beam expander optics, and a camera. This approach provides optimum efficiency with minimal design effort.Download Principles Meadowlark Optics award-winning Spatial Light Modulators (SLMs) provide
Geometric-phase microscopy (GPM) uses changes in the phase of light passing through biological specimens to yield high-resolution and high-contrast images, instead of relying on the attenuation of light used conventionally. Polarization optics and a spatial light modulator generate spatially variant polarization states of light that interact with the sample, creating a relative phase shift between transmitted and reflected light waves. By analyzing the phase information, GPM can reveal details not visible with other microscopy techniques. GPM is an effective non-invasive tool for live cell and tissue studies, with potential to enhance biological systems knowledge.
